LA Adventure III

the countdown has gone from months to one week and I couldn't be more ready to embrace college life and start anew. after saying goodbye to some of my best friends as they embarked on their college adventure this past week, it's now starting to hit me that we are all starting new adventures in our lives and I cannot wait to see where all of my friends end up, I know they're going to do great :')

in my previous post, I mentioned my bucket list and last week, my best friend Sabrina and I decided to have one last adventure in la where I ended up knocking five things off of my bucket list, yes FIVE!! that is the most I have done in one day so I am pretty proud of what we accomplished

and so the la adventure part 3 shall begin! If you want to check out part one, click here & for part two, click here x

we started our day off by visiting the la flower market! this was my second time driving in la and the one thing I hate about driving in downtown la (besides the loads of traffic) was that there are so many one-way streets and if you miss a turn, it takes like an extra 10 minutes to get back to where you started! so after what felt like hours in trying to find parking, Sabrina and I finally made it to the flower market. by the time we arrived, there were only a couple hours left before the market was set to close, but there were still plenty of flowers to see. as the daughter of a florist, I would say that I am a pretty big fan of flowers so I was really happy to be able to visit the market, definitely need to take my mom here one day!

at one of the vendors, there was the cutest cat sleeping in the succulents! I couldn't not take a picture. honestly, if I was a cat, I wouldn't mind spending my days sleeping in a succulent tray in the middle of the la flower market hehe

after the la flower market, we headed to grand central market for some eggslut (no pictures unfortunately) but if you haven't had a burger from eggslut, then you are missing out! they seriously have some of the best yolk porn out there and who would want to miss that!? (some people call it egg ooze, but I think that is just wrong lol)

following our lunch at grand central market, we headed to clementine floral works! this has been on my bucket list for a little over a month now and I have to admit it was because of an instagram by rebecca black haha #noshame anyways, the cool thing about this flower shop is that you could tell the florists how much you want to spend and what kind of colors you're looking for and they make it for you within a couple minutes! now I was on a budget so for $15, I got an 11-stem bouquet, which doesn't seem too worth it, but the bouquet was really pretty so it was okay haha (ALSO I am so mad because I thought I saved the picture on my phone but I couldn't find it grr)

after clementine floral works, we headed to alfred tea room. I had visited alfred coffee last summer (in the hopes of meeting harry styles, but that plan had failed) and I had seen alfred tea room on instagram before so I was very excited to go to a tea room where everything is pink hehe if you plan on visiting, keep in mind they only accept cards, no cash! annoying, but the tea was good and the aesthetic was on point so I could bear with it

after alfred tea room, we headed to griffith observatory. I have tried to go to griffith before to do a photoshoot at golden hour, but it never panned out. however, this time I was determined to get there no matter what it took. unfortunately, in order to get to griffith, Sabrina and I needed to get there about two hours before golden hour and hike about 20 minutes to get to the observatory, but once we were there, it was definitely worth all of that walking (Sabrina might disagree lol) because the views were absolutely incredible!

once golden hour finally began, it was time to start shooting! this set of photos makes me so happy and makes me an even bigger fan of golden hour mmm (now I know why filmmakers call it the magic hour because it is impossible to look bad)

as soon as blue hour hit, we were already booking it down the hill to head back to my car because we were starving haha we ended up having dinner at 9021pho because it was on my bucket list mainly for the name, it's just so clever! (despite the mispronunciation of pho) dinner was followed by dessert, because a trip is not complete without some ice cream where I had the red velvet ice cream from milk  (SO GOOD)

our night ended with us blasting old one direction songs on the way home and being surprised at how much of the songs we remembered hehe I feel bad for the cars that were stuck next to us in traffic because I am sure our singing was not what they wanted to hear haha

sabrina, if you are reading this, thank you for spending my last la adventure with me. I know you are going to do great things at UCLA and I cannot wait for the many more memories we have in store x

to all my readers, the blog content might slow down a bit because I will be moving into my dorm and everything will be chaotic, but I will try and get back as soon as possible xx

Until next time...
