Hi there! Long time no see...
I have just finished the toughest week that every high school student dreads...dun dun dun...FINALS WEEK!
But seriously, I am so glad that it's over.
It was the night before my last finals and after finishing studying, I realized it was 2:00 am and if I wanted to get any sleep, I should probably go to bed. I was getting in the shower when a moment came upon me and I had this sudden urge to dance. (weird right?) It was probably a side effect of the lack of sleep and deliriousness that I was feeling.
I got my phone and started playing some of my favorite songs to dance to and blasted them as I was taking my shower. You're probably wondering why I'm telling you all of this, right?
Well, the point of this weird and random story is that as I was in the shower dancing and singing to the music, I realized how much happier it was making me feel. For the past two weeks, I had been stressing over school and my borderline grades, and the feeling of letting go instantly helped relieve all of that stress that was bottled up inside of me.
It was such a relief to just let go and dance (although I wouldn't consider what I was doing dancing, more like a bunch of shaking and arm movements). It felt so nice to let my body move and relax since I had been sitting in the same position for the past 6+ hours. You never realize what a little bit of singing and dancing can do for you, until you are actually going to bed calm and relaxed instead of stressed.
So after experiencing my sense of relief, I decided to share with you guys my playlist that I use when I just need to let go. I have a really long playlist that I listen to, so I narrowed it down to 15 songs that should definitely relieve your stress if you sing along (or mumble the words if you don't know them like I do).
I highly suggest that you listen to this playlist or make your own with the type of music that YOU like and if you don't sing and dance in the shower, you should probably start (trust me).
